The above kit will push the wheels out and add offset.  Also, you will need to change out the front spindles.

We offer a front conversion kit that has zero additional offset.  It includes everything with even the bearing washers and lock nuts.  $569 (you will have to have the car aligned again).   We press in the bearing races in the hubs for you too.  100% complete kit.

If you have rear drums, we offer a conversion drum that does not require replacing the rear backing plates or any other parts. $80 ea

Yes CB Performance front wide five increases wheel base 7/8" - but on most Speedsters that is not issue (lots of room in front fenders - (I use two 1/2" spacers (1 inch increase) on 4 lug rotors and still have room on my CMC)).  It will not work with lowered spindles which you may or not have - it works with stock front drum spindles.  The CIP1 rear drums are a "direct bolt-on to 1968 and later Beetle/Karmann Ghia without modifications, they allow use of the 40 mm wide shoes and hardware.  They do increase rear track 2 mm (.0"8") per side" (total .16") which although not much could indeed could be issue with replacement 5 1/2" rims depending on offset (it would on my CMC!).

I'd definitely go with Alex's solution and save $100!
