I bought this car a few weeks ago. It's a beautiful car but it does not fit me or maybe I don't fit it.
I just had it all tuned up, put in a new 13" EMPI shifter, Big Foot kit, Nardi wood steering wheel and Pertronix ignition.
I also have the original shifter, a 12" EMPI shifter and banjo steering wheel.
Car has 21,000 miles.
Runs great. Everything works except tach which needs to be reconditioned.
I'm looking for a a reasonable offer.
Car is located in Edmond, OK.

sorry I didn't get a chance to see it first, do you know if it will be for sale locally here in OKC? I also have an 01 boxster that I have owned about 7 years. It is a great car, one of the best I have ever owned, but beware of the IMS failure, can ruin your day, Kent
Tom - Lots of scary articles on the bearings failure and consequent catastrophic resulting complete engine rebuild requirement. 8-10% will fail within 90k miles. So best if replaced before it fails! ~$2k vs ~$11k.

Tom, mine failed at 52k and had to replace engine. Call planet 911 in edmond and he can tell you more and the cost to do fix before it happens, Kent
I've done 3 bearings...two Boxsters and my 911. Best money spent...
I was ready to buy a used Boxster but after learning of the the IMS possibility we went got a BMW 328 xi all wheel drive " Rocket-ship"
Jake Raby does this too. If I recall, the bearing is a sealed unit and not bathed by oil hence $ome come apart taking the motor along.

Only one way to fix these and that's using Jake Rabys and LN Engineerings bearing. My 911 cost 2800 and my boxster were about the same and it is an immediate peace of mind that it's in a much better place!
