Pretty cool but nothing works better than google maps.  It is constantly updated, always knows where traffic is and will continue navigation even when you lose phone signal.  For the rare time I need navigation in my IM I'll just mount my phone to my windshield and turn on google maps.  I can do everything wireless with my Bluetooth retrosound amp breaking up my music (also streaming from my phone) only when there are voice directions from google maps.

I've used the Google maps navigation too and it is good, but I prefer the Verizon Navigator.

Nice mounting job Marty.   Looks great!

Troy.  What I really was referring to is an internet based GPS that has traffic, automatic rerouting etc.  I could never go back to a conventional GPS which simply takes you on the shortest route.  I'm sure all the phone based systems are better than stand alone systems.

And I do think the things that Henry is doing with these cars is amazing.  If you can imagine it Henry will build it.  I'm sure that the price is commensurate with your imagination.  His prices are getting a bit out of reach for me.  I'm really liking my 09 right now. But there's always the lottery.

The screen is too small and too far away from your driving line of sight.

I was an early adopter of GPS systems, having had a Rayco and Garmin on my boats around 1998 and a pretty early Tom Tom in my car.  While I now have a factory GPS in the center dash of my Rogue that works OK, most of the time I end up using WAZE on my phone, just for the constant traffic updates and because I can sit it up on top of the dash right in view.  Plus, it's not captive to any particular car so it goes with me where-ever.

Apart from that, the installation in that car looks fabulous.

I think it looks stupid and would be near impossible to read at the best of times.

I use Google maps with my iPhone 6 and like how it works, but occasional it sends me off in the wrong direction.

To mount my phone I use a quadlock.  The phone case has a connector on the back that attaches to mounts on my three bicycles, two windshield,  and my running armband.
