Has anyone bought a new Vintage Speedster within the last year that came standard with a speedometer that reads in MPH? Mine came with one in KPH, which Kirk said he’d replace as soon as the MPH models came in. That was a year and a half ago. When I ask, the reply is always, “they’ll be in soon.”  Am I being brushed off?

I thought changing the tail lights to the two tone european ones to match up.

I recently changed the front turn signal clear lens on my VS to the Amber tented European style versions.

Also added the rubber gaskets that should go behind the chrome horn rims to make the car look a bit more authentic.

A rough guide kph to mph-                                                                                                           30kph= 20mph                                                                                                                                 50kph= 30mph                                                                                                                                 60kph= 40mph                                                                                                                                 80kph= 50mph                                                                                                                                 100kph= 60mph

If you use a converter you'll find those #'s aren't exact (30kph actually is 18 1/2, 50 is 32, 60 is 37, 80 is 51? and 100 is 62)  but for driving those figures work and are easier to remember.

Look at your KPH dial reading.  Multiply the first digit by 6.  So Yoda's table then looks like this:

30kph= 18mph                                                                                                                                 50kph= 30mph                                                                                                                                 60kph= 36mph                                                                                                                                 80kph= 48mph                                                                                                                                 100kph= 60mph

Not precisely the same, but it's easier than multiplying by .621 in your head, right?

Plus, you don't need to bring the table with you and you learned your multiplication tables in second grade - you might as well use the "Times 6" you already know.

Or, if you're better at the twos table than the sixes table, forget about the speedo altogether and multiply the tach reading by two (in top gear).

Again, like the 'times six' solution, not perfect, but what about these cars is?
