Front trans mount bracket and support

Just so you know, Bob- that transaxle support was designed as an "off-road" part to prevent buggies and baja bugs from breaking the front nose cone when the car leaves the ground (actually, when the car comes back to the ground), and may not support the trans enough in a street car where you're looking to positively locate it to stop wheel hop.

This 2110 stroker was put in by the previous owner. The engine was built, put into a dune buggy for about a day and then pulled out and put in the speedster. I think the guy just took all the supports from the dune buggy, engine or trans and put them in the Speedster at the same time. The trans was original to the car and previously mated to the 1915 it came from Vintage with.

I don't drive this car hard, it is more of a cruiser with enough power to be responsive if I need it to, so I imagine this stuff is overkill.

So, in your opinion should that support pictured be removed as it could cause a problem?
