I’ve been away for a couple years and I am happy to be back in the sunny state of Arizona most of the time. I haven’t been able to drive my car for a few years an new owner has been very helpful getting it going again. Met the new owner at a nice bar golf course and he is very accommodating and is excited to upgrade the quality of the Vintage SPEEDSTER compared to some of they stories that you have heard about J.D. previous owner johnnyjetRead More...
My 2015 VS has 205mm five-bolt wheels with 165/80 R15 tires. I'd like to put a spare together that will work in a pinch on front or rear, yet fit comfortably in the frunk. The closer the fit to the normal tire, the better. Anyone out there been through this & happen to know just what wheel & tire combo will work? Thanks!Read More...

At what point can a few parts upgrades be considered a 'frame on' restoration? A hypothetical question, but maybe there is an answer to this? Built in '92 with full documented ownership in CA, VIN #195 is well on it's way to catching many more years of attention. Previous owners kept great records including the original Beck order form. I intend to be the best 'care-taker' I can be. With car show season beginning in April/May here in CA, I maintain a good line of sight on the goal. I have...Read More...

I just saw this on Yahoo. A company named "Cloud9 Classics" has quite a few vehicles for sale on their site, including 1 Vintage Motorcar Speedster, 1 Vintage Speedster, and 1 JPS coupe. The article reads: "This car is a product of Vintage Motorcars out of California. They have a stellar reputation and the reasons why are definitely showcased in this replica Porsche." I could not agree more! The products I've seen done by Greg and his crew are all top notch. ...Read More...

Full set of the good chrome Mangel 5.5 chrome wheels and tires. Included is five 4 lug Mangel chrome wheels in excellent shape, and 4 matching near new tires, including a spare with non matching tire. They are nice, no damage. The tires are Falken 185/65 15, which give a nice low road gripping stance to a speedster. They were removed from a 4 lug speedster in order to switch to wide 5 wheels and tires. Ready to use and hit the road. Unlike the recent Chinese chrome wheels, Mangels are...Read More...

I'm looking for a good shop chair, on rollers, with adjustable height and a tool tray or trays. I need something that lets me work on the speedy when it's on the ground or on jack stands I just can't do the down on the knees thing like I used to. 70 is kicking my butt. Any suggestions? I'm less concerned about price and more concerned with quality and ease of movement. I would use it on a flat concrete garage floor.Read More...
