Looking for a front bumper for this 1979 Intermecannica kit. Never had a bumper installed. Let me know what you have and the price. Can pick up around Upstate NY to Boston or pay for shipping. Yes I plan to fill the holes that were cut for the past radiator and remove aftermarket fog lights! Let me know, Patrick.Read More...

I have a 1979 Intermeccanica and have no idea what the rear end is made from. It is a tubular frame put together in California by a guy named Michael Downs. The front suspension is Mustang II. The rear has a 1967 Porsche 911 901 transmission (adaptor for Wankel engine) with Nadella flanges (I think). I however have no idea what the rear suspension is. It does have drums on the rear, early Porsche phone dials for rims and coil over Spax shocks. Any ideas here would be super helpful.as I start...Read More...

WTB - Old Blaupunkt Frankfurt Z radio

Actually, any old AM/FM working vintage period correct-ish Blaupunkt or Becker could work. Vintage Frankfurts and Beckers command good money. Perhaps a not-so-in-demand vintage radio will do. Working a plus, but I'm OK just filling the hole/space. $0-$250. Non working Frankfurt goes for $300 ish and working radios are $700 or more!Read More...

I thought I would offer my 2007 Crossfire for sale here first at a lower price. I have loved my Crossfire and am selling it because I have just bought a SRT-6 version of this same car. The Crossfire I am selling has 74K miles, I have owned it for 4 years and bought the car with 32k miles on it. I will sell it to a SOC member for $4495.00 $3300 firm which is well below book. The car is clean inside and out and has a few paint chips on the door line that have been touched up nicely. If you are...Read More...

My Car is a 2002 VS. It is based on a 1971 VW pan. It appears that this was one of the cars that was converted from IRS to swing axle as that was all that VS produced back then, as I understand it. Correct me if I am wrong. I am trying to identify the year of the swing axle system so, should I decide to change rear brakes from drum to disc, that I order the correct parts. How can I determine what I have? Thanks in advance.Read More...

The TD contingent (well, three of us, plus Schubie's wife) saddled up and made the 500 mile round trip to Virginia Beach Friday and it was glorious as usual. East Coast Speedster/Spyder People: you should bloody well come to this show! What's it gonna take?? It's held at the private air museum in Pungo. Yes, all these planes fly, sometimes during the show. $50 gets you on the flight line (donated to ASPCA, I think) and it's less to park right next to this in the unjudged portion of the...Read More...

I can’t seem to find a source for a rear axle washer. The part is for a 1965 year Type 1 Beetle axle. This is not the oil slinger deflector that comes with the seal kits. The drivers side rear wheel was rubbing when spinning the freely. The washer and smaller O ring was not installed. If anyone has a link to the washer part I would really appreciate it.Read More...

550 without Cobra wheel arches ?

Hi guys, I’m new here but I’ve been in love with the 550 Spyder all my life (ever since I drove those go-karts in Disney World!) Now that I have the funds to buy one (albeit a replica) for me it just has to be as close to the original as possible, which means those large rear Cobra wheel arches are a big No No. I’ve been searching everywhere and can’t seem to find one in the original proportions, which includes Alloy Car's 550! Any help would be greatly appreciated, Cheers, RayRead More...
