I am not 100% sure but Rancho builds transaxles with their Rhino cases which are super beefed up replacements for the type 1 transaxle. They also us new Weddle gears and synchro's . I just don't know about the other internal parts like the shafts. I had them build me one of these for my Subaru converted Speedster and am very happy with it. They used special gearing to match the power band of the Subaru J253 engine. They also built in 2 weeks. This is the price and build specs that Rancho emailed me before I ordered. The gear ratios used are 3.11 / 1.93 / 1.22 / .82
