I decided to let go my speedster to build a new one. Built it in 2019 with the intention of reselling it, but invested so much time and money on it that I just wanted to enjoy it for a while, so it’s time to let it go.
Registered in Ca as a 1969 VW, VIN added to the body by CHP, stock VW 1600 engine and transmission, leather seats, bluetooth radio, alarm, courtesy interior light, no top (never liked how it looks, and think is a waste of space), pirelli tires, will reach 75-80 mph without problem.
Fiberglass kit was purchased in Mexico, and built locally between shops and my garage.
about 2000 miles on it since built. Not sure on the engine mileage, I was told it seemed to be rebuilt not too long ago, but can’t tell the exact mileage. Starts right away, and never had any issues. Alternator is new, so is the Bosch coil, spark plugs, cables, and electronic ignition module. Carburetor has an electronic choke for easy start when cold.
