Yeah, but it’s getting harder to get in and out of it every year.
@Stan Galat Yeah, after my SC, I vowed if I ever bought a coupe again it would be a sunroof delete. I don’t know if it’s a delete on a 66 912, probably just an unordered option. Regardless, sunroof delete 911/912 are not only rare, but have 2” more headroom.
And I’m sure it’s 8/10ths. My buddy doesn’t mess around with projects. He’s basically a detailer. He buys cars that are one detail away from top dollar, and generally finds smoking deals on them.
But I might want to rescue it before he turns it into a 6. (He’s got a 69 just like it at a shop in LA getting a conversion done).
Biggest caution is the money Spyders are bringing right now, I’d be better off selling it and buying a 912 outright.
ps: Good point about purchase price vs worth. It seems like good 912s have been going $49k/$50K in the last year. I’m sure that what he’d sell it for.
