Is the paint original? And for the $60,000 question (probably literally) - describe (in one word) the rust situation.
As I was mulling this all over, the flip side occurred to me: I paid $19.5 for my Spyder back in 2013. I’ve put about $5K into it. So the flip side is I’d be getting a 912 for ~$25.
I went through a year’s worth of BaT and PCMarket and while I remembered the $50-$60K Spyders, I was surprised that most either changed hands or failed to meet reserve about $40-$45.
I had a long talk with my friend tonight. The car was repainted from Irish Green (a sign from God?) 
and has a small hole rusted through the floorboard behind the pedals (He’s already ordered the patch panel)
After my conversation, and my totally exhilarating drive to the snow line in my Spyder, I’m less inclined to move forward. We’re going to go on a canyon cruise next week and I’ll see how I feel after looking it over and driving it.
