The camera body of the backup camera I got is 1.25 h x 2.00 w x 1.25 deep and the lens is surrounded by 7 little LEDs. (I haven't powered it all up to see how much light it throws.) That size is why I might want to get it hidden under the bumper. I've seen cars with third brake lights on the engine grill; that might be a possible spot too.
