"short out" ??!! a curious typo, Alan. Or maybe the pun was intended? Pretty sure you meant "sort out". But shorting out is often a good way to find out what's connected to what: close the connection and look for the sparks/smoke. Don't need no stinkin' meter to do it that way. BWAAHAHAHAH
