If I leave the manifold for the carbonator the it is now I will have to make adjustments to the deck lid. The more air that it can get the better right? Still researching a design so it don't look like an afterthought. I seen the scoop on this car which gave me the idea how it may look. The question is which way to I put the opening. This car don't see much rain or snow so do it put the opening facing the front of the car so when driving the air flows directly into it like in the big V8 cars or do I face it back wards like the one in this car so it flows around the body? I did see a kit that had an alter manifold so that the carb would not hit the deck lid however it was lowered down in to the engine bay area so I would think that it would get less air. The people that have put this kit on a Bug use a deck lid stand off so that it clears the carbonator.
