The salvage VW title is a problem (at least in Georgia). In order to get legal with a salvage title in Georgia, it requires a lot of hoops to jump through. The biggest is structural inspection by certified inspection center that you have to have the car towed to...
I prefer to not fight such a bureaucratic hassle myself.
