That's the way it comes, Bill- one bit at a time. I still remember doing my first valve adjustment, some 45? years ago. I avoided changing the points in the distributor for the longest time in my first Beetle by filing (and then adjusting) them a few times to get it running right again, and then when I actually got up the gumption to put new ones in I thought, "why was I making such a big deal out of it?".
