IMHO the best cheap setup for a type1 powered Speedster using VW trans is stock 1-2, early 1.32 3rd and early 0.93 4th with a 3.44 final drive. Gets rid of your 3-4 hole that your 1.26/0.89 trans probably had.

But otherwise agree with you Ray, you have a great setup.
