4 or 5 inches. It's the camera angle. The engine wiring harness runs across the firewall also, but it has black heatshrink on it so you can't see it.

My old VR sensor wire was in that exact same spot for years with no melting.

I'll take a picture tomorrow, but from directly underneath if you'd like.
