Gordon, Speeduino has capability of controlling NOS, turbo boost, water/methanol injection, launch control, flat shift, gear detection, and variable valve timing. They even have a CANBUS to a display or another CPU. I believe knock detection is being worked on currently.

But yeah, certainly stuff above my pay grade.
