Unless by "light track duty" you mean autocross, you won't be allowed on track. Or those "track teaser" events which limit you to 60 mph or so(which I don't understand bothering with at all).

You need a roll cage that is triangulated, 5 or 6 point harnesses, helmet, arm restraints, etc. if you want to do HPDE.
