I'm going to guess it gives you slightly negative camber when lowered? Some are even aluminum, but I believe there's not much weight difference from type 1 trailing arms. The problem is 944 arms are too wide (1"? wider than type 1), and I'm of the understanding that there's no easy or cost effective way to narrow them like there is with type 1 arms. Al
