fuel pressure gauge

I bought a 0-15 fuel pressure gauge and am trying to decide the best way to hook it up for testing. After a search Danny said to use a temporary T but the link to the picture didn't work.  Is the T permanently mounted in the fuel line and then the npt fitting for the gauge just plugged when not testing with the gauge? Or is it better to just put a barbed fitting on the gauge and pull the fuel line at the T where the fuel line branches for the carbs and measure there? The barbed fittings are hard to get on and off. I don't want to mount the pressure gauge permanently.

thanks
