Reply to "fuel pressure gauge"

A while back, Danny mentioned that the Harbor Freight vacuum gauge can also be used to check fuel pump pressure.  In fact, a lot of vacuum gauges sold for automotive work can do both and are pretty accurate.  This one is from Harbor Freight for around $16 bucks:

It is made by Westward (not Pittsburg Automotive) and is the same gauge that Grainger sells for $33 so shop around and don't spend more than $20 for one if it's for temporary use.  I bought my gauge back when I was building my '46 Hot Rod so it's probably 45 years old and still works great, for that once-every-ten-years that I get it out!

Remember to swap out the rubber hose for a new one every ten years or so.
