Yes, your garage will be tight, but if you get the garage-door track as close as possible to the ceiling, install a jackshaft opener, and get some low-profile LED lights, you'll be able to store either car in the garage.
The thing is, you don't need to put the 4-post lift all the way up-- there are ratchet points along the way (about every 4 inches). Realistically, all you need to do is add the height of the two cars in question, and add 6" for the height of the runners and what you'll need to get the top car off the ratchet.
As you pointed out above, you have room. Buy the car you want.
