Putting out $33k (plus tax and possibly shipping) and waiting for a car to be built to my specs - I would have high expections. If the car didn't meet those expectations I would be embarrashed to admit I had made a mistake (or got bamboozaled by a fast talker with hollow promises).
Other than you end up settling on colors - a used car that you can actually drive maybe a better option - especially if sorted by someone knowledgeable.
