OK so a two year old Intermeccanica "S" with a $90K original build cost.

Why has it not even remotely held it's value? Beautiful car, high end builder, A/C, power windows and locks, 2.5l Subie engine, only 1500 miles on her.

I'm still of the opinion that original costs are a tad too high for cars that aren't perfect....but this is more of a deal if there's wiggle room.

SIMPLY the NEW CAR "cliche": when a new car loses 25 plus% of its VALUE the day its driven off of the lot...AND VERY IMPORTANTLY, the CURRENCY/INFLATION INDEX of the US/CANADIAN dollar. This has enabled ALL IM cars built before 2008/10 to be valued at almost their purchase price(30% less than today's prices). The last few years has seen the CANADIAN dollar  weaken relative to US DOLLAR, except almost ALL of IMs costs are DOLLAR driven as per their BUSINESS MODEL/INTERNATIONAL REACH/PROXIMITY to USA . IM is "FISCALLY" caught in CANADA, BUT, very close to the border of US/CANADA!

ESSENTIALLY a difficult mix of MICROECONOMICS and MACROECONOMICS
