DustyJ posted:I have been part of and around this club for many years. I left many members following a few with a personal agenda ... to say nothing of the language and inuendos both personal and general. I do occasionally look in to see what is happening. This is the first in many years I have felt the need to interject a comment. The poor attitude towards PCA is a sign of ignorance and sad self-image. I am a PCA member and I find that most are quality people who will accept you for who/what you are if you leave the attitude somewhere else. I currently have among my cars a newer Carrera 911, Cayman S, 911 turbo, 356 B coupe and, my favorite, the VS Speedster. I have shown the Speedster at numerous Porsche shows and found wide acceptance. I will attach pictures. It has won "People's Choice" in three Porsche shows. I call it the ILLUSION and have made it as authentic as possible but NEVER show it as a "original Porsche". Look over the photos and carefully read the plaque I put in the window and you will see that to take any of our cars too seriously is sign of poor grace and a cause of your own personal angst. Please enjoy your cars and worry not what others may say about them. If I am approached by a nay-sayer I usually ask "OK, What is in YOUR garage?"
I only got 50% of the plaque references. But enjoyed 100% of them.
