Reply to "Invited to join PCA with my vs???"

 

It seems whenever we go off on the PCA stereotype, people are quick to point out they know PCA members who aren't like that at all. I too have met lots of PCA members who are cordial, regular guys - more interested in you than in what you drive.

But there are usually reasons why most stereotypes persist.

At the gatherings of the faithful I've been to, there always seem to be a few with that attitude I think we've all seen. The one that keeps the stereotype alive.

Maybe they're to be pitied more than ridiculed, but they're out there and maybe giving the PCA an undeserved rap. In my book though, an organization that requires ownership rather than a mere interest in a car (or in anything else) is probably not one I'd want to support.
