Just heard back from the always responsive Mr. Hines. He says by raw measurements it should hold around 18(!) gallons. Given the shape and the fender filler it might not hold quite that much, but even at 15 gallons it should have quite a range. I remember John Hallstrand telling me he would see 35-40 mpg on the road. A 500 mile range could be the bottom end.
