Say its 239hp. My spyder is a 230hp naturally aspirated 2.5L Subaru. That car has to be close to 300hp. Think that car has same engine as Marty's car.
Definitely worth it Phil. It looks REALLY nice. If I was in the market for a Speedster I'd be jumping on it.
That being said, remember that your car weighs not much over 1500 pounds. I believe the IM6 is close to 2500, so with a Suby4 turbo say 2300? Still an 800 pound weight penalty. But we'd have to weigh Marty's in Carlisle to know for sure. But I'm guessing you still have a better power/weight ratio. Yours is approxamately 6.5 lbs./hp.
That IM would have to be under 2000 pounds to beat you despite 300 horses.
Bob Carley was surprised at how my new car moved with it's little 170hp engine. And Rob with the green SAS turbo was surprised as well.
Power/weight is king, ask Colin Chapman of Lotus fame.....
But dang, if I wanted a Speedster, nothing would keep me from grabbing THAT one!
