I still have my CMC certificate of origin-issued 1992. Have never used it because of emissions requirements for 1992 vehicles in Maryland. I simply registered it as a street rod on the title of the original donor chasis(1966). No emissions requiremnts and no hassles. Have even had an overenthusiastic female cop crawl in the back and pull up the carpet to verify the VIN. Then she wanted to know why if it was a VW it said Porsche on the front and rear.

The certificate has a manf. date of 1/13/92 and chassis # S 2527.
However, I do not have the CMC plate.

I think my strategy was the better choice but if you really want the certificate ..................
