Large primary pipe diameter (larger than 1 5/8") is not a good idea on anything but a 2,110 race engine, and then a 1 3/4" might be useful above 6,000 RPM depending on the engine build.
A good size for a 2,110 modified street merged collector pipe to muffler and muffler size is 2 1/2"; larger will probably not make more POWER but it will certainly make a lot more NOISE.
Going too large on the exhaust system almost always hurts the low end and mid-range performance and may not contribute to top end unless it is properly engineered for the engine.
