Reply to "New Owner - 1970s Intermeccanica"

Hello Replica World. I'll soon take possession of the following car:

"Over $2,000 in Professional Restoration at Aker,s Porsche- 10/2011
Color: Black with Tan Interior and Top
Engine: VW - Reported to be high performance Engine
Trans: 4spd Manual
Condition: Great Driver- Ready to Enjoy
Desirable, Intermeccanica-built Porsche 356 Super Speedster Replica. Hot VW engine, great patina giving the car an authentic, speedster look. Over $2,000 in recent restoration at Aker's Porsche in Seattle WA in later 2010. Significant brake, fuel system and electrical restoration and service. Great running engine, transmission shifts easily and the car is great fun to drive and look at."

Haven't yet driven it, as minor refurbishing is being done. Has dual port dual Webers, drum brakes, standart stuff. I don't know much about the speedsters built by IM, California in this era and would like to find out what you know.

It need a new header bow for the top so any leads on this item would be appreciated.

I'm interested in toughts on stiffening the pan frame, I guess similar to what Vitage Speedster does since their cars use a tube fram and VA pan.

Otherwise, any knowledge you can share about this particular vintage would be appreciated.

How do I post photos? Any idea of what this car is worth?

Regards.
