Reply to "New Owner - 1970s Intermeccanica"

Thanks for the welcome. Some of those questions I need answered.
There is not much info on the car. It is owner by a vintage car dealer in Carnation, Wa. It was acquired a few months ago in an estate sale and has apparently been garaged for many years. It is amazingly titled as a 1957 Porsche 356 in washington!!! The hinges say Intermeccanica. The engine number is BA233697 and is stamped made in Germany. I have to check this again as it doesn't match up to VW motors from the 70s. The chassis identifier plate needs to be cleaned to read the number. The body is fiberglass attached to a VW pan. The current gauges are 914 vintage, dual weber carbs, no choke, alternator, VW fuel tank, 4 lug wheels, speedster style fiberglass seats, H4 headlights, brum brakes all around, e-brake, 4 speed transmission, newer top, no radio, single aero mirror mounted to the driver's side front fender, german square weave carpeting,

I was told it would have been delivered as a kit from the factory and assembled by the owner. It has a hot VW motor, around 1900cc but this is unverified.

A few photos can be seen at giocars.com

Cheers.
