The MC with the attached reservoir is the standard for old beetles. I agree, it’s a little cheesy to leave it. My Spyder had the same, and a single circuit MC.

When I upgraded to a hydraulic clutch and dual circuit brake MC, I added frunk-mounted MCs so can can see the levels every time I unplug my battery tender.
