Reply to "No drips on my garage floor!"

Gordon, British cars are supposed to leak oil. British motorcycles too. If there's no oil on the floor, there's none in the engine. If there's too much oil (variable) on the floor there may be none in the engine either. I've actually seen photos of old vw's with dust and dirt on the oil sump, but no oil.

I'm sure the lack of a leak is a temporary situation but until then I'm happy.

Jimmyv. Lovvve the idea of the Suburu engine, but all that plumbing...

Barncobob, I thought you REAL Porsche folks were supposed to look down on us lowly replica/kit car (I don't care who builds them they're all kit cars) guys. It's comforting to know your place in life.

I'm going to check my oil now. I suppose that there may be another reason I have none on the floor.
