Reply to "North Hollywood Speedometer"

On my 2003 VS there were “L” shaped brackets that held all the gauges in the dash. They were mounted behind the dash and one end pressed against the gauge while the other end pressed against the back side of the dash. Tension on the nut effectively pulled the gauge into the dash and held it in place.

I imagine yours is held in place the same way, but each build is different from the last.

In the photo, you can see one of the two studs (near my thumb) that the bracket ran though and were held in place with a hand tightened nut.
