Reply to "Oil Pressure Concern"

I disconnected the hose going from my oil filter to the engine. Then I pulled my coil wire and cranked the engine to pump out a quart.

Now, with 4 quarts remaining in the engine (not counting what is in the filter) it still shows the oil level above the full line on my chrome dip stick. I wonder if it is marked accurately.
