Thank you Alan for pointing me in the right direction as far as the oil pressure gauge in my car needing 12 volts to trigger it, after grounding the wire at the sender and getting nothing, I removed it (its mounted near your left knee out of sight almost) and stuck the positive lead with key on, nothing... checked all fuses, they were good, instead of spending days taking the harness apart , I ran a fused on only with key new 12v power source and viola its alive. The sending unit near the dist. is a small "can" style that has two screw on lugs, one is spliced and goes thru the engine tins to a more traditional looking sending unit pointing downward with a push on spade on it. I don't know if this is some sort of bastardization or you guys have seen it before ?? all is well , thanks Alan for the tech support, now about my personal problems, do you have a leather sofa where I can relax, while you ask me "how I feel about that" all the while drawing kittens on your notepad...
