 You can also use an L-shaped Allen key and a pair pliers. Although not very gracious, the cap will usually pull off the wheel by putting the short end of the Allen key into one of the holes on the hubcap and yanking it off by holding the longer end of the Allen key with the pliers. That’s the way I’ve always done it, until I found the proper tool hidden up front in the trunk, and thought, oh so that’s what that’s for. LOL
