I don't think there's really denying the advantages of the superior technology discs afford, but for those who want to improve the performance of their rear drum brakes- http://www.thesamba.com/vw/cla...detail.php?id=846684

These semi-metallic shoes still won't equal discs, but are supposed to be a big step in the right direction.
