I about lit my Spyder up one day. I was pulling my battery out after taking my pass side carb off and grounded the + terminal to the engine. Luckily, the resulting "fire" was easy to blow out as a birthday candle.

I generally turn my fuel pump on and watch all the fuel lines after I've worked in the engine bay.
