I am the crazy man that came to buy the car from @David Stroud IM Roadster D. I had a wonderful trip home, aside from entering what was the first winter storm of the year in the GTA...right about 330PM. So toronto to Hamilton traffic, in rush hour, in a blizzard was interesting yet suprisingly easy.
Unfortunately for me, shortly after leaving I noted some light engine noise, which I thought was odd, but just chaulked it up to Subaru/Flat 4 sound, or some slight knock from fuel/air mixture, from the cold weather. Upon getting closer to home, turned out to be a bit of rodknock from cyl 3. Not a big deal. Lucky for me, @David Stroud was a great help with my barrage of questions and talked me off the ledge from my new rodknock find. I purchased it as a surprise gift for my mother, whom always spoke about how the 356 was her favourite car, and always wanted one. For years she showed me photos online of several, usually equipped very similar to the beauty I purchased from David. Needless to say, there were many tears, and joy that came from the surprise. She took it for a good 1h run to one of my warehouses where I am storing the car for winter. In the meantime, I have a 550 to finish and a fresh shortblock to prepare for my mothers new top down ride.
