Speedster tagged by an SUV

Be carefull out there, 3 weeks ago while driving my son to school it was a surreal experience.
Stopped about forth in line at a stop light, the SUV in front of me decided they needed to be in the turn lane, so ... they backed up to get the space. Evidentally when looking in the rear view mirror of a 1990 Montero one cannot see a Speedster. I on the other hand, had dropped my vigelance and was joking with my kiddo. The height of that un-godly bumper combined with a trailer hitch caused extreme distress to fibber glass. The impact of the hitch was about 4" below the hood, then the horizontal bumper tweeked the nose developing stress cracks under both head lights. This was a low impact collision that was billed out about $3000.00. Very glad the SUV had insurance so my rates don't have to go up.
It's all better now & I paid some extra to complete the front repainting, remove the chipped paint on the hood, the results look great. AND Its good to be out of that toffu bland rental car and back to driving something fun.
