My Spyder is registered as special construction vehicle. Problem with it being a SCV you still have to pay personal property tax. If it’s registered as a 1968 VW for example you can claim it as an antique and pay no personal property tax. And it does vary by county and city if you have to get emissions testing. In NOVA yes but in Norfolk no.
