Dennis, curious if you must purchase something new or if you’d be open to purchasing something used?
The Hines’ and Greg and Henry will build you an amazing speedster. That’s a given. But it may not be what you want. There are plenty of 1,000mi or less speedsters out there. And there’s usually a number of reasons for this. One reason? People tend to fall in love with the idea of a speedster. They wait the many months for delivery. Get their speedster then realize it’s not for them. They are unique cars.
I don’t know if you’ve owned a speedster before. And if you have, then by all means, feel free to pass on this advice. I just don’t want anyone to pluck down hard earned money for a romantic idea that never truly aligns with their expectations.
I always try to steer newbies into the used market first. Sometimes Greg, Special Edition and IM have used speedsters (or coupes) for sale. There are even respected members on this site (Troy, Theron, Alan to mention a few) that have sorted speedsters available. Perhaps this may be an Avenue to explore?
