Well, if quality is important to you, you will see a diffrence!

All I know is that, over the past 30 some years, I have had several bimini tops and mooring covers made for my boats.   The stitching wasn't near as nice as either of the samples you showed, but they still served me well past the advertised life of the fabric.   I would think boat covers are subject to more harsh environments and heavier use.

 

 

Sorry, as a former dealer for switzerland (with over 100 cars we bought from kirk), i have a high level quality standart. kirks first cars were not very, very good..and we told him..and kirk got better...thats the way manufacturer should think!
