VS 1776 w/AC what carbs?

I have a VS 1776cc motor with a 34pict single. Would like to move to dual carbs, but the car has the compressor installed and it appears to be "in the way". Not a big A/C fan, but I see no reason to pull out all the hardware. Anyone know what carbs fit and would be good for my application? How about a two-barrel single? Appears like it would interfere with the hood. Thanks
