VS Sportster info

Thanks in part to all the helpful advice received here I'm on the cusp of owning my first Speedster. It's a VS delivered to its first owner in Aug 2017. I'd like to know who made the engine but the seller doesn't know. With all the confusion, at least for me, about who is who and what is what when it comes to Vintage, I'm wondering if anyone can direct me to a person who might be able to help me with questions about this build.
