Bob, if you DO do that, then add the Unobtanium Open House in Ravenel, NY to the list on Saturday of Labor Day Weekend. You miss a day of vintage racing at Lime Rock, but you can head back for Sunday's Concours around the track (shouldn't be missed, at least once - usually 1,000 classics lining the track) and then Monday's Vintage race day, if you're looking for action. The open house at Unobtanium includes a massive pig roast and BBQ with lots of Porsche folks there. Lots of wineries out there to visit, too.
