Pete speaks sense. While I didn’t ALWAYS enjoy working on my car, it connects you to the hobby in a way that checkbook maintenance never will. I fully expect that the new coupe, Subi power and all, will still require my skilled (stop laughing) ministrations on occasion. Getting the first one pretty much guarantees I’ll have to get my hands dirty.
